Adding logos to your brand guide
In this tutorial, we'll look at how to add logos to your brand guide in Guidelines, adjust their layout, and create clear space diagrams for consistent logo usage.
Working With Logos in a Template
After creating a site from a template, open the Logo page. The logos you uploaded earlier will already appear on the page.
From the toolbar, you can:
- Swap to a different logo or icon.
- Change the background color.
- Add rounded corners or other style adjustments.
- Resize and reposition logos for a cleaner layout.
You can also access to view all uploaded logos and select the right variation for each section.
Previewing and Downloading Logos
When a page is published, collaborators or external users can:
- Preview logos directly on the page.
- Hover over a logo to reveal a button.
- Download logos in the formats you've made available (e.g., PNG, RGB, CMYK, Illustrator, EPS).
This makes it easy to share consistent brand assets with your team or partners.
Using Clear Space Blocks
Guidelines includes a Clear Space block, which helps demonstrate the required spacing around a logo.
To add one:
- Click the button in the toolbar.
- Select Clear Space.
- Choose the logo or icon you want to use.
You can then:
- Adjust background colors or remove them.
- Set spacing to ½, ⅓, or ¼ of the logo's height.
- Use the block to show co-branding layouts alongside partner logos.
This feature saves time compared to creating diagrams manually and provides a simple way to document logo usage rules.
Conclusion
By customizing logos, enabling downloads, and adding clear space diagrams, you can ensure your brand assets are displayed and shared consistently in Guidelines. These tools make it easy to create professional logo guidelines that your team and collaborators can rely on.
