A round-up of improvements shipped over the past few weeks, across the editor, your published sites, and the dashboard:
- Select and edit multiple blocks at once. Drag a selection box around blocks — or Shift-click to build up a selection — then move, resize, duplicate, and reorder them together in the editor instead of one block at a time.
- Fluid, responsive type. Set separate font sizes for large and small screens in the typography editor, and your text scales smoothly between them as the viewport changes — so headings can be bold on desktop and stay readable on mobile without maintaining two sets of styles.
- Section fade-in on scroll. A new site setting fades each section's content into view as visitors scroll down a page, giving published guidelines a more considered feel. Turn it on or off per site from Site Settings.
- Smoother scrolling and editing. Dragging and resizing blocks no longer reloads embedded content or re-renders the whole page, so scrolling and arranging your layout in the editor stay smooth and responsive.
- Fewer undo steps. Resizing, dragging, and deleting elements now each count as a single step in the editor's undo history, so one undo reverses the whole action instead of unwinding it piece by piece.
- Product updates in the help menu. Read the latest product updates without leaving the app — the help menu now includes an updates panel, with an indicator when something new has shipped.
- Tell us what to build next. The help menu also lets you send feedback directly from wherever you're working. Let us know what would make Guidelines better for your team and what we should prioritise next — we read every message.
- Various bugfixes and improvements. Plus a batch of smaller fixes and refinements across the editor, sites, and dashboard.
