The Affiliate Program is designed for agencies, studios, brand strategists, and professionals passionate about helping brands work better. By referring organizations to Guidelines, you can earn recurring revenue and help teams create and manage brand guidelines more efficiently.
Earn 20% of your client's subscriptions, every year, for up to five years.
This page outlines the terms of our affiliate program so you can understand how tracking, commissions, and payouts work.
Attribution & Tracking
There are two ways to sign up organizations to Guidelines:
Affiliate Links
We provide approved Affiliates with links to the Guidelines platform. When a visitor clicks your unique affiliate link, a cookie is stored in their browser for 30 days. If that visitor signs up an organization, or books a demo which leads to a signup within that time, you get credit for the referral.
We use cookie-based tracking with a 30-day window . When a visitor clicks your unique affiliate link, a cookie is stored in their browser for 30 days. Demos and signups on that browser within that 30-day window are attributed to you.
We operate on a first-touch attribution model : the first affiliate link clicked by a visitor is the one that earns commission, even if they return later through another source.
Within the Dashboard
You can create an organization on behalf of your client. If you are an approved Affiliate, every organization you create on their behalf will automatically be tracked as your affiliate. No need for sharing affiliate links.
Commission & Payment
Earn 20% of the monthly subscription revenue paid by a referred organization, every month for up to five years, as long as the subscription remains active.
You will earn commission on all revenue from editor seats, including revenue from any additional seats purchased by the organization.
You will not earn commission on:
Viewer seats
Free Plans
Any future add-ons or paid products that may be introduced by Guidelines
Payout Terms
Payouts are made for up to five years, or until the referred organization's subscription is no longer active, whichever comes first.
Payments are issued monthly after the end of each month, following verification and processing, into a single nominated bank account.
Payments are made in US dollars, and any bank fees and exchange rate fees will be borne by the Affiliate.
Eligibility
Referrals must be new organizations to Guidelines, who have not previously held a paid subscription.
Self-referrals or referrals where you are the purchaser on behalf of the organization are not eligible.
You must follow all brand and promotional guidelines and comply with our terms of service.
